Braden Holtby saved all 27 Flyers shots he faced and Nicklas Backstrom scored two goals and registered an assist in Washington's 7-0 win Friday night. Joel Ward had a hat trick, Jason Chimera had a goal and three assists to give him 11 points in 13 games. Troy Brouwer had a goal, Mikhail Grabovski extended his point streak to five games with three assists. Martin Erat and Eric Fehr each assisted on two of Washington's seven goals.

Ray Emery turned aside 11 of 15 shots before getting a game misconduct. Steve Mason stopped just 14 of 17 shots and  in a Friday's 7-0 loss. Vincent Lecavalier sustained facial injuries and is day to day and Steve Downie suffered a concussion. 


Lightning 3 Hurricans 0

Ben Bishop kicked aside all 31 shots and Steve Stamkos scored his 10th goal of the season in a 3-0 victory Friday. Alex Killorn had a goal and an assist and  Victor Hedman had a goal. 

Justin Peters stopped 29 of 32 shots and both Alexander Semin and Eric Staal each had 5 shots on goal in the Hurricanes 3-0 loss. 


Penguins 4 Blue Jackets 2

Marc-Andre Fleury saved 37 of 39 shots and Chris Kunitz scored in Pittsburgh's 4-2 win over Columbus on Friday. Kris Letang, Jayson Megna, and Brandon Sutter each scored for the Penguins. Evgeni Malkin had two assist.

Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 10 of 13 shots before being pulled and Derek MacKenzie scored his first goal of the season in Friday's 4-2 loss. Ryan Johansen scored as well for the Blue Jackets.


Islanders 5 Senators 4 S/O

Evgeni Nabokov stopped 27 of 31 shots and Pierre-Marc Bouchard had a goal and an assist in a 5-4 shootout victory against the Senators. Matt Martin, Frans Nielsen, and John Tavares also scored for the Islanders.

Robin Lehner kicked out 53 of 57 shots and Bobby Ryan scored a goal and recorded an assist in Ottawa's 5-4 shootout defeat. Erik Condra, Clarke MacArthur, and Mika Zibanejad also scored for the Sens.


Blues 4 Panthers 0

Brian Elliott saved all 31 shots and Alexander Steen scored his 12th goal of the year in the Blues 4-0 win. Chris Stewart, Derek Roy and Alex Pietrangelo also scored for the Blues.

Jacob Markstrom saved 19 of 23 shots and Brian Campbell was minus-three in Florida's 4-0 loss Friday night. Brad Boyes lead the Panthers with four shots on goal. 


Wild 4 Canadians 3

Josh Harding saved 28 of 31 shots and Jason Pominville scored two goals and registered an assist in Minnesota's 4-3 win Friday night. Nino Niederreiter and Justin Fontaine scored also in the win.

Carey Price kicked out 31 of 35 shots and Andrei Markov recorded three assists in Montreal's 4-3 defeat to Minnesota. P.K. Subban, Brendan Gallagher and Brian Gionta scored for the Canadians. 


Avalanche 3 Stars 2 OT

Semyon Varlamov saved 25 of 27 shots and Paul Stastny scored twice in Colorado's 3-2 overtime win against Dallas. Gabriel Landeskog also scored for the Avs. 

Kari Lehtonen stopped 26 of 29 shots and Tyler Seguin had a goal and an assist in Dallas' 3-2 overtime loss. Alex Goligoski also scored for the Stars.


Red Wings 4 Flames 3

Jimmy Howard blocked 22 of 25 shots and Pavel Datsyuk scored a goal and registered an assist in Detroit's 4-3 win over Calgary.  Henrik Zetterberg, Justin Abdelkader and Tomas Tatar all scored for the Wings. 

Joey MacDonald allowed four goals on only 22 shots and Jiri Hudler had two assist in the Flames 4-3 loss to the Red Wings. Sean Monahan, Curtis Glencross and Chris Butler scored for the Flames in the loss.
