Jean-Sebastien Giguere blocked all 34 shots he faced and Gabriel Landeskog scored the only goal in Monday's 1-0 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. The goal was the third of the season for Landeskog.


Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 13 of 14 shots and Sidney Crosby was held off the scoresheet for the first time this season. Crosby had recorded points (17 in total) in each of the Penguins' first eight games. 

Sharks 1 Red Wings 0 S/O

Antti Niemi turned aside 27 shots and Logan Couture scored the only shootout goal in a 1-0 victory for the Sharks over Detroit. With the win, Niemi improves to 8-0-1 on the season with a GAA of 1.64 while his save percentage is .930.

Jimmy Howard stopped all 27 shots he faced in regulation and overtime and Pavel Datsyuk's streak of five straight games with a point came to an end. Datsyuk has recorded 11 points in 10 games this year. 

Flames 3 Kings 2

Karri Ramo turned aside 27 of 29 shots and Jiri Hudler registered two assists to lead the Flames to a 3-2 victory over the Kings Monday night. Hudler now has eleven points in eight games. Defenseman Mark Giordano also registered two assists in the game, while rookie Sean Monahan, Mike Cammalleri and TJ Brodie scored for the Flames.

Jonathan Quick allowed three goals on 25 shots. Drew Doughty and Jeff Carter scored in the L.A. Kings loss. Quick now has 5-4-0 record with 2.56 goals against average and .909 save percentage.
