Here is my mock draft for the upcoming draft:

1. Colorado: Seth Jones

2. Florida: Nathan MacKinnon

3. Tampa Bay: Jonathan Drouin

4. Nashville: Alexsander Barkov

5. Carolina: Sean Monahan

6. Calgary: Darnell Nurse

7. Edmonton: Nikita Zadorov

8. Buffalo: Rasmus Ristolainen

9. New Jersey: Hunter Shinkaruk

10. Dallas: Valery Nichushkin

11. Philadelphia: Max Domi

12. Phoenix: Ryan Pulock

13. Winnipeg: Elias Lindholm

14. Columbus: Adam Erne

15. New York Islanders: Josh Morrissey

16. Buffalo: Frederik Gauthier

17. Ottawa: Alexander Wennberg

18. Detroit: Valentin Zykov

19. Columbus: Kerby Rychel

20. San Jose: Curtis Lazar

21. Toronto: Robert Hagg

22. Calgary: Zach Fucale

23. Washington: Ryan Hartman

24. Vancouver: Madison Bowey

25. Montreal: J.T. Compher

26. Anaheim: Samuel Morin

27. Columbus: Jacob De La Rose

28. Boston: Mirco Mueller

29. Calgary: Bo Horvat

30. Chicago: Ian McCoshen

Reasoning:

I put Seth Jones 1st even though ISS recently said Nathan MacKinnon was the best prospect available. I do believe MacKinnon may end up the better player, but Colorado already has a lot of very good, young offensive players such as Landeskog and Duchene.

I put Valery Nischushkin much lower than most mock drafts because his KHL contract scares me. I know he has publicly stated that he will be playing for the NHL, but what if he doesn't like the contract being offered or the team he gets drafted to? He can bolt for the KHL.

Teams to Watch:

Calgary: If i'm Calgary, I try to move down from 6th to about 15th, or try to trade the 22nd pick up. Kippur is in the twilight of his career and there isn't anyone in the system who can replace him. In the draft, there is one goalie I see that can replace Kippur and it's Zach Fucale. Teams know that and may use that as a bargaining chip.
