Sunday Night NHL Recap
There were three NHL games on Sunday night that included a rematch of the last years Stanley Cup finals.
Blackhawks 3 Bruins 2 S/O
Corey Crawford made 34 saves while Marian Hossa and Brandon Bollig each scored in the Blackhawks 3-2 shootout win over the Bruins.
Tuukka Rask stopped 35 out of 37 shots and Brad Marchand scored twice in the Bruins 3-2 shootout loss to the Blackhawks.
Lightning 5 Hurricanes 3
Ben Bishop made 48 saves and Ondrej Palat scored a goal and two assists in the Lightning's 5-3 against the Hurricanes. Mark Barberio scored twice, Nikita Kucherov and Teddy Purcell also scored goals in their win.
Justin Peters was pulled after allowing three goals on seven shots and was relieved by Anton Khudobin who made 15 saves and was credited with the loss while Eric Staal scored a goal and a assist. Alexander Semin and Ron Hainsey also scored goals in their loss.
Rangers 4 Capitals 1
Henrik Lundqvist made 24 saves and Rick Nash scored twice in the Rangers 4-1 win over the Capitals. Derek Stepan and Ryan Callahan scored goals while Dan Girardi had two assists in their win.
Phillip Grubauer gave up three goals on 14 shots before giving way to Braden Holtby who made 18 saves in the Capitals 4-1 loss to the Rangers. Alex Ovechkin scored his 35th goal of the season for the Capitals in the loss.
