Predators 4 Leafs 2

Marek Mazanec made 24 saves and Matt Cullen had a goal and three assist in the Predators win over the Leafs. Craig Smith scored a pair of goals and added an assist while Seth Jones scored his third of the year.

Jonathan Bernier gave up four goals on 28 shots and Nazem Kadri registered a goal for the Maple Leafs in Thursday's 4-2 loss to Nashville. Peter Holland scored the other Maple Leafs goal in the loss.


Flyers 4 Sabres 1

Ryan Miller allowed three goals on 45 shots and Tyler Myers picked up his second goal of the season in the Sabres 4-1 loss to the Flyers.

Ray Emery turned away 29 of 30 shots and Matt Read scored two goals for the Flyers in a 4-1 win over Buffalo Thursday night. Vincent Lecavalier and Scott Hartnell also chipped in with goals for Philly in the win.


Blues 3 Bruins 2 S/O

Jaroslav Halak allowed just two goals on 31 shots Derek Roy scored his sixth goal of the season Thursday as the Blues upended Boston in a shootout by a score of 3-2. David Backes also netted his ninth goal of the season. 

Tuukka Rask allowed two goals on 26 shots and Carl Soderberg scored a goal for the Bruins in a 3-2 shootout loss to St. Louis. Gregory Campbell also scored for the Bruins.


Red Wings 4 Hurricanes 3

Jonas Gustavsson allowed three goals on 27 shots and Gustav Nyquist scored two goals for the Red Wings in a 4-3 win over Carolina Thursday night.  Niklas Kronwall and Darren Helm also scored for Detroit in the win.

Justin Peters allowed four goals on 47 shots and Andrej Sekera scored a pair of goals for the Hurricanes in Thursday's 4-3 loss to Detroit. Brett Bellemore also collected his first career NHL goal in the loss.


Blackhawks 6 Jets 3

Corey Crawford made 22 saves and Jonathan Toews scored a goal and added three assist in the Blackhawks 6-3 win over the Jets. Brandon Saad, Patrick Sharp, Patrick Kane, Marian Hossa and Ben Smith all scored for the Blackhawks.

Ondrej Pavelec allowed five goals on 32 shots and Dustin Byfuglien scored a goal in his fourth consecutive game in the Jets 6-3 loss to the Blackhawks. Andrew Ladd also picked up a goal and an assist in the losing effort while Keaton Ellerby also scored.


Rangers 3 Stars 2

Henrik Lundqvist blocked 41 of 43 shots and Chris Kreider recorded his third goal of the season for the Rangers in a 3-2 win over Dallas. John Moore and Rick Nash also scored for New York in the win.

Kari Lehtonen allowed three goals on 27 shots and Alex Chiasson scored his sixth of the year in the loss to the Rangers. Stephane Robidas also added a power play goal for Dallas in the loss.


Avalanche 4 Coyotes 3 OT

Semyon Varlamov stopped 41 of 44 shots and Andre Benoit scored a goal and registered two assists in Colorado's 4-3 overtime win over Phoenix. John Mitchell had a goal and an assist, while Cody McLeod and Ryan O'Reilly scored the others goals for the Avalanche.

Mike Smith allowed four goals on 30 shots and Michael Stone scored a goal in Phoenix's 4-3 overtime loss to Colorado Thursday night. Martin Hanzal and Antoine Vermette also scored for the Coyotes.


Oilers 4 Panthers 1

Devan Dubnyk turned aside 24 of 25 shots and Jordan Eberle scored twice to lead the Oilers to a 4-1 victory over the Panthers Thursday night. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins had three assist, David Perron and Sam Gagner also scored for the Oilers, while Taylor Hall added two assist in the victory.

Tim Thomas blocked 31 of 34 shots and Scottie Upshall scored the lone goal in Florida's 4-1 loss to Edmonton Thursday night.


Devils 2 Kings 1

Cory Schneider stopped 34 of 35 and Jaromir Jagr tied Mario Lemieux for ninth on the all-time goal-scoring list with an overtime winner that gave the Devils a 2-1 victory against the Los Angeles Kings. Ryan Carter scored the other goal for the Devils.

Ben Scrivens let in two goals on only 15 shots and Justin Williams scored the lone goal in Los Angeles' 2-1 overtime loss to New Jersey. 


Sharks 5 Lightning 1

Antti Niemi turned aside 36 of 37 shots and Patrick Marleau scored a goal and registered two assists in San Jose's 5-1 win over Tampa Bay. Tommy Wingels had two goals and Logan Couture assisted on three goals in the victory. Defenseman Brad Stuart and Burns scored also for the Sharks.

Anders Lindback made 31 saves and Tyler Johnson scored the lone goal in Tampa Bay's 5-1 loss to San Jose Thursday evening.
