Wednesday Night NHL Recap
There were four NHL games on Wednesday night.
Wild 4 Senators 3
Josh Harding turned away 34 of 37 shots and Mikko Koivu scored the winning goal and added a pair of assists for the Wild in Wednesday's 4-3 win over Ottawa. Dany Heatley, Jason Pominville and Jonas Brodin also found the back of the net for Minnesota.
Craig Anderson gave up four goals on 25 shots and Mika Zibanejad scored a goal and added an assist for the Senators in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to Minnesota. Milan Michalek and Kyle Turris also contributed goals for Ottawa.
Penguins 4 Capitals 0
Marc-Andre Fleury stopped all 18 shots he faced and James Neal registered a goal and an assist for the Penguins in Wednesday's 4-0 win over Washington. Sidney Crosby and Paul Martin also picked up a goal and an assist in the win while Beau Bennett scored as well.
Braden Holtby made 36 saves and Alex Ovechkin had his point streak snapped in Wednesday's 4-0 shutout loss to the Penguins.
Blue Jackets 2 Flames 1 OT
Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 23 of 24 Calgary shots and Nikita Nikitin scored a goal and registered an assist in Columbus's 2-1 OT victory over Calgary. Nick Foligno scored the other goal for the Blue Jackets.
Reto Berra turned aside 16 of 18 shots and Joe Colborne scored a goal in Calgary's 2-1 overtime loss to Columbus Wednesday night.
Devils 4 Ducks 3 OT
Martin Brodeur blocked 22 of 25 shots and Patrik Elias assisted on three goals to lead the Devils to a 4-3 overtime victory over the Ducks. Erik Gelinas also had a goal and an assist, while Marek Zidlicky and Travis Zajac also scored for the Devils.
Jonas Hiller made 21 saves and Ryan Getzlaf scored his twelfth goal of the season in the Ducks 4-3 overtime loss to the Devils. Nick Bonino and Matt Beleskey also scored for the Ducks.
