Devils 5 Senators 2
Martin Brodeur made 23 saves and Damien Brunner scored a goal an assist for the Devils in their 5-2 victory over Ottawa. Jaromir Jagr, Eric Gelinas, Stephen Gionta and Reid Boucher all scored for the Devils.
Robin Lehner made 28 saves and Milan Michalek scored a goal in the Senators 5-2 loss to the Devils. Colin Greening also scored for the Sens.
Penguins 4 Rangers 3 S/O
Marc-Andre Fleury made 29 saves and Chris Kunitz scored a goal and an assist for the Penguins in a 4-3 shootout win over the Rangers. Pascal Dupuis and Brandon Sutter also scored for the Pens.
Henrik Lundqvist made 29 saves and Mats Zuccarello scored a goal and a assist in the Rangers 4-3 shootout loss to the Penguins. Derick Brassard and Carl Hagelin both scored for the Rangers in the loss.
NHL News and Notes: Josh Harding has been placed on the injured reserve list as he needs an adjustment in his medication for multiple sclerosis. Johan Gustafsson has been recalled from the minors. Jaromir Jagr's game-winning goal against the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday was historic. It was the 693rd goal of Jagr's career, which moved him into sole possession of eighth place in the NHL's all-time goal list. He surpassed Steve Yzerman as a result and is just one goal shy of tying Mark Messier. Jagr also broke the NHL record for career game-winning goals with 122. He had been tied with Gordie Howe.
