8 Game in the NHL on Tuesday Night

Blue Jackets 4 Devils 1

Sergei Bobrovsky snapped a four game losing streak making 24 save and James Wisniewski pitched in a goal and two assists in the Blue Jackets’ 4-1 win over New Jersey.

Cory Schneider made only 20 saves and Michael Ryder scored his fourth goal of the season in the Devils loss. 

Canucks 5 Islanders 4 OT

Roberto Luongo made 28 saves and Daniel Sedin scored and added an assist in the Canucks’ 5-4 overtime win over the Islanders. Brad Richardson scored the overtime winner and Ryan Kesler had two points.

Evgeni Nabokov made 28 saves on 33 shots and Matt Moulson scored twice in a the Islanders loss. Frans Nielson also had a goal and two assist.

Maple Leafs 4 Ducks 2

Jonathan Bernier made 23 saves and Phil Kessel scored a hat trick to help lead the Leafs to a 4-2 win over the Ducks. Kessel now has five goals and 11 points through 10 games.

Jonas Hiller made 23 saves and Nick Bonino and Mathieu Perreault both scored for the Ducks in their loss.

Oilers 4 Canadians 3 

Devan Dubnyk won his second straight game making 29 saves and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins had two assists in the Oilers’ 4-3 comeback win over Montreal. 

Carey Price made 28 saves and Brendan Gallagher scored his fifth goal of the season in Montreal’s 4-3 loss to Edmonton. Tomas Plekanec also scored his fourth of the season. 

Blackhawks 3 Panthers 2

Corey Crawford made 20 saves and Jonathan Toews scored on the power play and added the shootout winner as Chicago downed Florida 3-2. 

Tim Thomas made 25 saves before leaving late in the third period with a lower body injury with the game tied at two against Chicago. Tomas Fleischmann notched his team leading ninth point in 10 games. 

Wild 2 Predators 0

Josh Harding made 16 saves for the shutout and Zach Parise had two assists in the Wild’s 2-0 win over Nashville. 

Pekka Rinne made 27 saves on 28 shots and Craig Smith lead the Preds with 5 shots on goal in the Preds loss. 

Capitals 5 Jets 4 S/O

Braden Holtby made 43 saves and Alex Ovechkin scored two goals in Washington’s shootout win over Winnipeg. Through nine games Ovechkin has 12 points.

Ondrej Pavelec stopped 28 of 32 shots and Bryan Little scored twice in the Jets shootout loss. Little has five goals and eight points through 10 games this year.

Coyotes 4 Flames 2

Mike Smith blocked 22 of 24 shots and Mike Ribeiro scored twice to lead the Coyotes to a 4-2 victory over the Flames. 

Joey MacDonald allowed three goals on 32 shots and Joe Colborne scored a goal in Calgary's loss. Jiri Hudler extended his point streak to nine games with an assist.
